The 1974 FIFA World Cup was the 10th staging of the World Cup, the world championship for men’s national association football teams. It was held in West Germany from 31 May to 21 June 1970 (25 days).

The 1974 World Cup trophy is the same as the current trophy. Silvio Gazzaniga designed and created the FIFA World Cup trophy in 1971. West Germany is currently part of the Republic of Germany. In this tournament, West Germany won the World Cup in 1974, beating the Netherlands 2–1 in the final.
