The 2022 FIFA World Cup will be the 22nd FIFA World Cup and will be played by the men’s national teams of FIFA’s member associations. It will be the second World Cup staged fully in Asia after the 2002 competition in South Korea and Japan, and it will be held in Qatar from November 20, 2022, to December 18, 2022. It will be the first World Cup to be held in the Arab and Muslim worlds.
The 2018 final saw France defeat Croatia 4-2 to retain their title. It is now the most costly World Cup ever staged, with an estimated cost of over $220 billion; however, Qatari officials reject this estimate, with the organizing CEO Nasser Al Khater claiming that the real cost is $8 billion.

Bloomberg reports that Qatar spent an astounding $300 billion organizing the 2022 FIFA World Cup. According to Economic Times, it cost $6.5 billion to build new stadiums. According to Forbes, Russia spent only $14.2 billion to host the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
2. Qatar’s debut in FIFA World Cup:-
The national football team of Qatar automatically qualified for the 2022 FIFA World Cup as the host nation. They are participating in the FIFA World Cup for the first time. However, they were defeated by Ecuador in their opening game.
3. Last World Cup for Ronaldo & Messi:-
Lionel Messi, of Argentina and Paris Saint-Germain, announced in October that Qatar 2022 will be his final international match, while Cristiano Ronaldo, of Portugal and Manchester United, is still silent about his future in the game. Unquestionably, two of the best players to ever play the game are Messi and Ronaldo.
4. No beer:-
Alcohol sales are not permitted in Qatar’s stadiums during the 2022 FIFA World Cup. After 7 o’clock, beer will only be sold in fan zones and hospitality boxes. Additionally prohibited inside stadiums are things made of pork, balloons, loud musical instruments, pride flags, and cigarettes.
