At the FIFA conference in Bangkok, Thailand, CONMEBOL announced on 16th May that teams will be able to bring in 26 players. The tournament is not the traditional format with 23 players for the 2024 Copa America in the United States.
“Regarding the number of players on the squad, the decision is that each team may come up to a maximum of 26 players in the tournament.”
The 2024 Copa América will be the 48th edition of the Copa América and It will be held in the United States and co-organized by CONCACAF. Argentina and Uruguay are the most successful Copa América teams.
The 2024 edition of the Copa America will start on June 20, and the final match will be played at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami.
2024 Copa America: Teams expanded to 26 players
The 2024 Copa America is one of the biggest football events of Football after the FIFA World Cup. Argentina is the defending Copa America champion and will start its title defenced against on June 21.
