A record-breaking number of Over 28,000 professional footballers from 70 FIFA Member Associations Nations have voted for the 2024 FIFPRO World 11 finalists. World Best Footballers Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo part of the 2024 FIFPRO World XI Best 26 Players Finalists for the prestigious team of the year.
The Netherlands-based union revealed that an impressive 28,322 football players from 70 FIFA Nations participated in the 2024 FIFPRO World XI voting. The performance period of all the players is from 21 August 2023 to 14 July 2024.
Premier League dominates the shortlist for the 2024 FIFPRO Men’s World 11. Eleven Premier League stars are among 26 players in the running for a place in the prestigious line-up. In this List, 8 Manchester City finalists are named and 9 England Lionesses are nominated for the awards. Lamine Yamal and Rodri lead the list of nominees for the Best XI of the Year.
The nominated goalkeepers are Ederson, Emiliano Martínez, and Manuel Neuer. The defenders competing for a spot are Dani Carvajal, Rúben Dias, Virgil van Dijk, Jeremie Frimpong, Antonio Rüdiger, William Saliba, and Kyle Walker.
The midfield includes Jude Bellingham, Kevin De Bruyne, Phil Foden, Toni Kroos, Luka Modrić, Jamal Musiala, Rodri, and Federico Valverde and forwards nominated players are Erling Haaland, Harry Kane, Kylian Mbappe, Lionel Messi, Cole Palmer, Cristiano Ronaldo, Vinícius Júnior, and Lamine Yamal.
