Real Madrid beats Gremio by 1-0 in the final match of FIFA Club World Cup final 2017 played in the United Arab Emirates, with the help of a single goal scored by Christiano Ronaldo.

Real Madrid became the first team to retain the FIFA Club World Cup after beating Gremio.
It was the 7th goal of Ronaldo at the FIFA Club World Cup and the second straight year that he has scored the winning goal in the Club World Cup Final.

Real Madrid started in aggressive fashion, and both Ronaldo and Dani Carvajal enjoyed decent chances in the first half against their Brazilian opponent Gremio.
Geromel headed a corner clear only as far as Carvajal, who volleyed it back towards goal, but the Gremio captain was able to get a foot to it which results in the first half of 0-0.
Ronaldo finally broke the deadlock early in the second half when he drew a foul just outside of the Gremio penalty box after a rash challenge by Gremio’s Jailson.
Ronaldo took the curling free-kick on 53 minutes, which split between the wall and sneaked into the bottom left. Now Real was leading by 1-0 and it remains the same until the final whistle.
